DSU: “Stand in Solidarity with the Struggle for a Separate and Democratic Telangana State!”

The struggle for Telangana state has once again intensified, with the people observing two-days of successful Telangana Bandh on 5th and 6th June, after the MLAs and MPs from the region being forced to tender their resignation under popular pressure. The central government has been using all possible excuse and manipulation to delay the inevitability of the Telangana state, whether by forming the Srikrishna Committee in 2009, or insisting on building 'consensus' among the parliamentary parties ever since the submission of the Committee Report. The Committee was nothing more than a delaying tactic, while its Report was primarily concerned with advising the government how to effectively crush the movement, as the notorious 8th Chapter of the Srikrishna Committee Report has revealed.

DSU: Two Years after the Eelam War

The Flames of Liberation Continue to Expose the Oppressors and their Apologists!

Two years back, on 18 May 2009 the Sri Lankan army claimed to have killed Vellupillai Prabhakaran, the leader of LTTE, along with hundreds of his comrades. The next day in the Sri Lankan parliament a jubilant Rajapakse declared victory in the Eelam War IV. This was the day, two years back, when the Eelam Tamils lost their hard-fought freedom at the hands of the fascist and expansionist Sri Lanka. This week the Tamils in Eelam and outside remember the heroic sacrifice of the sons and daughters of Eelam who laid down their lives fighting the armed forces of the chauvinist Sri Lankan ruling classes.

The Association of Proletarian Solidarity joins the international week in support of people's war of the Indian popular masses launched by the International Committee to Support People's War in India.

The protracted revolutionary people's war led by the Communist Party of India (Maoist) (CPI (M)) and the resistance of the Indian popular masses against the war unleashed by the Indian state against its own people is one of the brightest expressions of the renaissance of the communist movement.
